Before opening, check the label inside the packaging against your suitcase model — Original, Essential, Classic, or Hybrid — and the size (Cabin, Check-In M/L, or Trunk). Before you start
Two things make fitting faster and smoother:
- Clean and dry the suitcase shell. Dust or grit trapped under the cover can create fine scratches over time — the exact problem the cover is meant to prevent. A quick wipe with a microfiber cloth is enough.
- Lay the suitcase flat on a bed, table, or clean floor. You'll have more control over the fit than trying to do it upright.
Step 1: Unroll the cover
Take the cover out of the packaging and unroll it. It's normal for the material to look crumpled or creased straight out of the box — the 0.6 mm PVC is flexible and returns to its original shape once it's fitted onto the suitcase, so there's no need to try to flatten or pre-shape it first.
Step 2: Fit the back of the suitcase first
Start slowly, inserting the cover from the bottom of the wheels on the back of the suitcase. Work it upward and outward from there, tidying the material as you go until the entire back shell is completely covered.
For the Essential model specifically, the cover may feel like it's not fitting smoothly at first — the material sticks slightly against the polycarbonate shell. This is normal. Just keep tidying the sections that stick until the whole back is fully covered; it isn't a sign of the wrong size.
Step 3: Fit the front of the suitcase
Once the back is fully covered, start inserting the cover from the wheel side of the front shell. Continue working it across until the front is completely closed and the cover sits flush against the shell.
Step 4: Zip it closed
Pull the zipper until both sides meet and the cover is fully closed. For extra protection, you can add a TSA-approved padlock through the zipper pulls at this point.
That's it — under 2 minutes from box to fitted, no tools required.
What the cover protects against
Beyond making your suitcase look sleeker, the cover protects the shell underneath from scratches, stains, water splashes, and impacts during handling and transit.
Common fitting mistakes to avoid
- Trying to flatten the cover before fitting it. Skip this — the crumpled look from packaging disappears naturally once it's on the suitcase.
- Giving up too early on the Essential model. The slight sticking against the polycarbonate shell is expected; keep tidying rather than assuming it's the wrong size.
- Starting from the top or sides instead of the wheels. Anchoring at the bottom of the wheels first makes the rest of the fit go much more smoothly.
- Fitting over a dirty shell. Wipe the suitcase down first — trapped dust or grit under the cover defeats its purpose.
Easy maintenance and cleaning
Keeping the cover clean is simple: put a small amount of eucalyptus oil on a microfiber cloth, then wipe down the mica (clear) part of the cover to lift dust and stains. This keeps the cover looking clear and ready to protect your suitcase on your next trip.
